DevConf.us 2018 is the 1st annual, free, Red Hat sponsored technology conference for community project and professional contributors to Free and Open Source technologies held at the Boston University in the historic city of Boston, USA.

Ethan is a trainer, facilitator, and evangelist for Extreme Programming methods, including Mob Programming.  He facilitates and runs the Burlington Software Crafters (original founder) and Boston Software Crafters meetups, which both meet once a month to tackle coding katas using Mob Programming.  He introduced Mob Programming and Test Driven Development to the Boston Code Camp and presents at local user groups, including Agile New England, Boston Python meetup, and New England Java User Group.


Ethan also started the Boston Coding Collaborative group for connecting people who want to code together outside of work.  He is currently working on a multi-event Smart Calendar app with this group and volunteers on open source projects for Code for Boston.


Ethan has 20 years coding and management experience at a Fortune 500 company.  He has witnessed several teams that try to become Agile struggle because of technical practices,   After attending his first Mob Programming Conference in 2017 and rediscovering the joy of collaborative programming, he hasn’t looked back.
